About Me

I am a final year business student concentrating in Marketing and Management Information Systems at the Beedie School of Business at SFU in Vancouver, Canada. Since high school, I’ve always loved volunteering for extra-curricular activities and have a passion for helping other people. My passion for connecting with people and giving back to my community inspired me to study marketing. 

This transferred into university and business school as I love being social and getting to know and meeting new people and it led me to volunteer for a variety of extra-curricular activities in university. I held a variety of roles such as volunteering at first-year student events to be a mentor and volunteering for case competitions. I mainly volunteered for JDC West which is the largest case competition in Western Canada.

 My love of marketing came from my love of people and working in collaborative teams. This drive to support others and finding out what makes people tick led me to apply at my first intern position at the DSBIA, which is a non-profit organization. As a social media and digital marketing intern, I executed a variety of marketing campaigns to help small business owners in the downtown Surrey area during the COVID-19 pandemic. I even got to hop on a call with Justin Trudeau to discuss how the federal government can better support small businesses across Canada.  Additionally, I worked on a variety of projects with a variety of clients in different industries which provided me with time management, organizational, and marketing skills.

I also recently studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic which taught me so many valuable lessons about being adaptable and learning about businesses in a global context.
